Nurdles don't need to become marine litter at all, but we need co-ordinated international action to tackle this global issue at source.

We have contributed evidence from The Great Nurdle Hunt to a new briefing calling for concrete action at EU-level. It's been written by the Environment Investigation Agency, Fauna & Flora International and Fidra, designed by Rethink Plastic, and supported by many more European NGOs.

The EU committed to taking action on pellet loss through the Plastics Strategy and has commissioned reports showing that solutions ensuring best practice across the whole supply chain are the best way to tackle this issue. Our briefing calls for these promises to be followed up, pushing for legislative proposals to be put forward to implement supply chain solutions as soon as possible.
